    • Gudbrand was not living with his family according to the 1875 census, when he would have been 17 years of age. His father Gudbrand was living away from the family in Hedmark, and his mother Sissel is shown with an illegitimate child born in 1874. This might shed some light on why Gudbrand deserted his own wife and child.
