• Notes

  Elizabeth Bondurant, formerly Elizabeth Waid, in Campbell Co., VA, 12 Nov. 1828 petitioned the U.S. government and stated that she had never received Revolutionary Bounty Land in right of her father Jacob Waid. Capt. George Lambert, 29 Nov. 1829 in Bedford Co., stated that he had commanded a company of the 14th Regiment, Virginia Continental Line, and Jacob Wade enlisted in it in Dec. 1777 as a Private. Jacob died at Morristown, NJ [during the Revolution]. Elizabeth Bondurant of Bedford Co., VA, on 4 June 1830 again asked for Bounty Land “in the name of her ancestor Jacob Waid.” She was the wife of Ephraim Bondurant. Sources: 1.
