Notes |
- Barbara Crowel Young
Abt 1759 the "supposed" family Bible gave this date alone. Barbara died before Sept 1819 at Frederick Co., MD when a will was written by her husband, Leonard Young and entered at Frederick County courthouse on 13 Sept 1819. Barbara was not mentioned and had most likely died.
Her date of birth in the "supposed" family Bible is only given as 1759 while her marriage date is recorded. As the marriage record appears in Frederick Co., MD it is probable that this is where Henry Crowl of Dayton, OH found the date and not from this supposed Bible. Barbara and husband, Leonard Young both of Frederick County, State of Maryland sold to Nathan Haines of Frederick County State of Maryland on 9 Feb 1807, a tract of land called Bear Garden inherited from Henry Crowell. The will of Leonard Young was entered at Frederick County Courthouse on 13 Sept 1819 and Barbara is not mentioned. By Leonard's will son, Solomon was listed as keeper of the crops but not he land. Daughters, Mary and Elizabeth were to keep the land and the family home.
