(Draper MS) Some sources for information about William Grant and Marjory (Verner) Grant and their families and descendants: The Draper Manuscripts--In a letter to Mr. Draper, Sarah Grant (Lamond) Winston states that ".....with respect to the name of my Grandfather's mother, it was forgetfulness certainly on the part of my cousins also, you will no doubt think so, when I tell you my cousin's oldest son is named Douglas, after my Grandfather'sgrandmother, whose maiden name was Douglas and their second son is named Verner after my Grandfather's mother whose name was Marjory Verner--I have a sister whose middle name is Verner...."
