  From A genealogy of the Nye family, Volume 1, Pub. 1907, Page 51-53 "BENJAMIN NYE (John, Benjamin), born at Sandwich, Mass., November 25, 1673. He resided in Falmouth where he died April 22, 1750. He married (1st), February 23, 1698 or 9, Hannah Backhouse (Backus) of Barnstable. The date of her death is not given on the records. His second wife as Katherine Nickerson whom he married December 28, 1735." His will has been fully transcribed in this book which can be found in Google Books Eight Children noted: 1. Ebenezer, b. Dec. 23, 1699; d. 1731 2. Ichabod, b. Aug 3, 1703 3. Dorcas, b. Jan 28, 1706 4. Esther, b. Feb 4, 1707; m. Nov 13, 1735, Isaac Robinson of Falmouth. She died before 1744 leaving five children 5.
