    • Silas worked as a clerk in Boston. He met and was recruited by Comfort Tyler to participate in the "Aaron Burr Expedition". He made it to Mississippi where all the group, including Burr, were arrested. Burr was acquitted of treason in 1807. Silas lived in Natchez, Mississippi for some years working as a clerk before he died in 1817. He corresponded with his cousin Ephraim Brown over the years leading up to his death.
