    In the name of God amen. In the name of God I Thomas Moore Senr of the County of Campbell and state of Virginia being in usual health of body and in perfect mind and memory as usual do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament

    Item First I humbly bequeath my soul to God my Maker and resign my body to the Earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its resurrection from thence at the last day as for my burial I desire it may be decent at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named As to my worldly estate it is my will and desire that all my just debts be first paid and the residue of my estate to be disposed of as followeth viz
    Item 2 I lend unto my dearly beloved wife Sarah Moore the tract of land whereon we now live during her natural life together with all the stock of every description plantaion utensils and household furniture for her maintenance.
    Item 3 It is my will and desire that my three daughters namely Polly, Sarah, and Elizabeth, shall have one feather bed apiece given them at the discretion of my wife Sarah Moore and at the decease of my wife Sarah Moore It is my will and desire that the said daughters above named shall have one cow or heifer given them out of my estate or the value of one apiece
    Item 4 It is my will and desire that my son Thomas Moore Jr shall have forty dollars out of my estate for the purpose of purchasing him a horse.
    Item 5 It is my will and desire that the crop which may be made on the land in the year of my wifes decease shall be equally divided among my children that may then be living on the land and bearing this part in labour as heretofore.
    Item 6 It is my will and desire that after the decease of my wife Sarah Moore that my land and stock of every description of other property and money accruing from the estate be sold, the property and money equally divided among all my children.

    I hereby revoke and disallow all my former wills and testaments ordaining this and no other to be my last will and testament. I also nominate constitute and appoint Daniel Moore and Thomas Moore Jr executors of this my last will and testament. In the name of God amen. Witness my hand and seal this 8th day of October in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and thirty four in presence of Wm J Harvey, R A Walthall

    The within last will and testament of Thomas Moore deceased was presented in court and proved by the oaths of William J Harvey and Robert A Walthall witnesses thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded and at a court held for said court held for said county the 8th day of June following on the motion of Thomas Moore the executor in said will named leave is given him to administer on said decedant's estate. Whereupon he together with Daniel Moore his security entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of three hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs for said executors due and faithful administration on said decedant's estate and performance of his will. Family was part of a migration frm Campbell Co to Fairfield,Highland,OH bet ca 1816,then to Randolph Co,IN in 1820's where William & Winifred d 1855. I believe he is the son of William MOORE whose 1790 will pr in Campbell Co, names wife Elizabeth, sons William & Thomas, & daus Luce ROADS & Jane MOORE,dividing among them the 500 acres of a patent he rec 28 Oct 1788 in Bedford Co on the west branches of Seneca Creek. Wit to the will Mary & John RICHARDSON were the sis & bro-in-law of Winifred TERRELL. Would welcome any info about this family.

Also 1 white mare and colt, 6 pewter plates, 2 pewter dishes, 1 earthen teapot, 6 cups and saucers, 1 feather bed and furniture, 1 chaff ditto and furniture, 1 oak table, a 7 gallon iron pot, 1 dutch oven, 1 kettle, 1 pair worping barns*, 1 poplar chest, 1 black cow, 1 brown cow, no horns, 1 black heifer no horns, 1 pair pot hooks, 1 box iron and two heaters, 6 knives & forks 1 pair shears & scissors, 1 churn, 2 pails, 1 piggin, 5 books, 6 pewter spoons, 1 cotton wheel.
    The above allotment to Jane Moore appears by the Will to be lent to Eliza. Moore, during her life.

    MOORE, TERRELL, MINTER, HOLLOWAY - William Moore b. Oct,1767 d. Oct,1855 wife Winifred (TERRELL) MOORE b. Oct 14, 1760 d. Oct,1855. Son William MOORE Jr. b. Jun,1794 d.Jan,1857. William Jr. married Jincy MINTER, dau of John and Susanna MINTER (MINTER is not known where they came from). They all came from Campbell County, Virgina. Went to Ohio for a short period (time period unknown). In the 1820's came to Randolph County,Indiana. From William MOORE Jr. down, I have a lot of information. Would love have information of where the MINTER's and TERRELL's came from. The HOLLOWAY's married into the MOORE family in Randolph County, Indiana. Would anyone have information if these where the same HOLLOWAY's that are in Campbell County...

    At the house of Alvin Mountjoy in Falmouth. Those present: John Mountjoy, James Littel, William Arnold, Jezeriel Ellis, John Sanders, Charles Stern, James C. Goodwin, Elijah McClenachan, John Ewing.

    Ordered Charles Colvin be appointed overseer of a road; also John Angell as a road overseer. Jeremiah Glinn and Elijah McClenachan are to "set apart the hands to work on said road".

    Mentions a road from near Charles Stern's to Samuel McCarthy's be established and that James C. Goodwin to appointed overseer and that Julius Coleman and Samuel Lockwood set apart "the hands" to work on said road.

    License is granted to William Barnes to keep a tavern in Falmouth; John Angell provides security.

    In the name of God Amen I, John Angell of Pendleton county and State of Kentucky being in perfect health of Body and many thanks be given unto God, calling into mind, the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching such world estate wherewith it has please God to bless me in this life, I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner & form.
    First I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Milley the whole of my possessions which I now am possessed with real and personal during her natural life.
    I also give and bequeath Thomas Tillery one shilling.
    I also bequeath unto Nancy Tillery’s children a child’s part with the rest of my children that is to say their mother’s part.
    I also bequeath unto Lucy Angell one bed and furniture
    I also give my son, John, twenty shillings.
    The rest of my estate to be Equally divided at the death of my wife between George Angell, William Angell, Frances Gill, Elizabeth Parmer, Jeaber McCargo, Molley Shutes, Milley Foster, Salley Tomling, Lucy Angell, Nelley Angell & Caty Barns.
    I also give and bequeath unto Cathy Barn’s children lot No 3 8 in the town of Falmouth and all the rest of the property which is in the possession of William Barns which is sold and conveyed to me by said Barns to be equally divided between them all, and I do nominate and appoint George Angell and Joseph Parmer, my sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disarmul (copied as transcribed but not sure this is correct) all and every other former testament, will, legacies, bequests and executors ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.
