There is no way that Rebecka Dudgeon (Terry) was the daughter of Richard Terry b. 1715. She was more likely the daughter of John Dudgeon and Catherine Caldwell Dudgeon. Their birthdates were likely earlier than what some researchers have stated as well. Richard Dudgeon b. 1715 was likely Rebecka Dudgeon's younger brother. If you go to www.maierassociates.com/gscal050.html - you will find more information about the relationship of the Dudgeon family to the Caldwell family. It is said that the family immigrated from Ireland to America in 1727 (perhaps landing first in Pennsylvania). But if you notice the date for the birth of Zachariah Terry in 1725, it is likely that it was a bit earlier - abt. 1723 to 1724 and upon arrival in Brunswick, VA - Rebecka Terry married James Terry abt. 1724.
