Maleriet er trolig malt i 1710. Portrettet er usignert og udatert. Kilde: "Ledaal.
Portrait of Johanne Margarethe Smith, born Leigh (1691 - 1766). Her husband, Lauritz Smith, was the son of sculptor Anders Smith. The painting is probably painted in 1710. The portrait is unsigned and undated. Source: "Ledaal. History and restoration" (2009) Ledaal was built as a yard for the Kielland family in the years 1799-1803. The name "Ledaal" is a construction of the last letters in the names of the developer Gabriel Schanche Kielland (1760 - 1821) and his wife Johanna Margaretha Bull. Since 1936, the manor house has been in the ownership of the Stavanger Museum and from 1950 Ledaal has been royal.
