    • Knut went to live in Sauda just prior to his and Lisbeth's marriage. They stayed there almost a year, until just before the birth of their first child, when they moved to Atra in Tinn.

      Røysland

      The name comes from pile - pile of stones, and A. Bugge thinks it has been the burial mounds there before the farm was Rudd. After the name of the judge is Røysland utskild from another large farm in tidier between 700-900 AD. It has been ålmen meaning that it Røysland was e burial mound from the Viking time probably a chieftain's grave, but in subsequent investigations, they have come after that there is scant burial mound.       he was married to Birgit Knutsdtr. They probably had several children, but we know only Ola Olsson, GM Gyry Olsdtr, and Birgit, g. 1732 m. Øystein Halvorsson, GjØystdal.

      There was a change for John Olsson in 1709 and curved gave 291 rdl net. It looks like Brynjulv Rue has been medeigar for in 1715 eight zone his Mats 1 / 2 tn. and widow of John 1 / 2 tn. These TVO married and sat with the farm for many years. It is called in 1723, "Matz Brynhildsens with StedbØrnene". The farm belonged when hustimmer, firewood and a slåttestaul. They were born 1 / 2 horse, 4 cows and 9 sheep.

      In 1730, it looks like it's TVO use. Mats and Birgit Use 1 / 2 tn. sake. Births 2 cows, 1 calf, 4 sheep, 2 goats, 1/2 horse. They planted 3 KVT. and harvested 41 / 2 tn. when it was not skinår.       In the vein gang farm over to Ola Olsson, GM Margit Torgeirsdtr. Ingolvsland, sd (He had altso be married two times.) He was guilty dean Quisling 99 rdl, and pledge 1 / 2 tn. guilt, and later in 1737 he pledge the other half to Qvisling. In 1742 he sold the farm to the dean for 450 rdl The money went to the redemption of syskinni and 40 rdl to place his father Matt. Ola had soleis gvarken farm or money. No eight Qvisling farm until 1748. Then mate changed his
      farms with Jon Olsson Rollag and paid 50 rdl and 4 years of taxes in an intermediate layer. Jon had the farm for 1754. When he sold Røysland to John and Knut Olsson with one half on each. Knut and John were brothers ate Gyry who was married to "Sheath-Johan" - father ate Ola Johannesson - see change on the Beach 1813. These TVO brothers have farm ihop to 1765. When John sold his share to Knut for 280 rdl Knut and Svånaug had these children:

      4. Hellek, b. 1771, g. 1800 m. Susanne Jonsdtr. Rollag flutter to Etne parish.
      5. Gyry, b. 1775, g. 1797, m. Gunnulv GjØystdal, flutter to Suldal.

      It seems that Knut sat cramped in there, for he pantset farm Ola Hove from The Progress of 260 rdl and 1787 he sold half the farm to Ola Olsson Langset of 472 rdl and the other half to his son Alv Knutsson of 390 rdl . In 1793 had Hellek Knutsson bought back the party Ola Langset eight so now it is again TVO brother of the same ætti that farm. It probably dates from the time that the farm was change in TVO use soleis that Hellek and Birgit had Røysland and Alf got Roe. It is called that Husi on the old Røysland stood in between the farms that now. In 1802, states: "The
      ordinary good Smaabrug".

      In 1801 sold Hellek Knutsson farm to D. v. Cappelen for 1109 rdl and was use to to keep everything maintained, respond land rent "3 årstage" and cones. taxes. No had Hellek captivate money and in 1809 he bought Roe of Elf for 600 rdl Hellek makeover changed with Cappelen soleis that Hellek got themselves Guard against Cappelen got woods that belonged to Roe.       January 1822 Hellek sold the farm to Tore Torsteinsson Lurås-Rue. Tore was g. m. Aslaug Torsteinsdtr. Mårheim, daughter ate Torstein Neridsson. Hellek flutter to Storekås and later in 1828 to Suldal. Tore Torsteinsson and Aslaug had these borni:
      1. Torstein Toresson, b. 1823, g. m. Anne Olsdtr. GjØystdal,
      2. Kjersti, b. 1826, g. 1844 m. His Kristensson Vålund.1)
      3. Tårån, b. 1830, death.

      January 1842 were Thorstein Toresson deed on the farm. He should be a good man who worked a lot on the farm. It heitos that He drove prescription from staulane and home to the farm. Torstein and Anne had these borni:

      January 1865 was the birth father of a horse, 7 cows, 10 sheep and 2 goats. The sowed 3 tn. buildings and 4 tn. potatoes. After that Thorstein was dead sat widow with a farm entid. She gave the deed to son Nils in 1878, but he sold in 1881 to John Øysteinsson Brynjulvsrud as eight farm until 1886 when he sold to Hans Hansson Lurås or Alset. He sat with the farm until 1893. He sold to Knut Olsson Risjordet, ate zone Ola Helleksson Roe. Hans Hansson traveled to America. Knut Olsson was married to Susanne Olsdtr, Rollag (Boslåtten). With Knut came the old RØyslandsætti to the farm again.
