  From a Bible owned by Mrs. Florence Wade Becker of Bluefield, WV I, Henry Wade, son of Henry, was born in Hanover County, VA., in 1740, married Lucy Turner of said county, August 30, 1761. Son, Luke married Martha Stanley of Halifax County, November 30, 1785. Son, Andrew married Sarah Petty of Halifax County, December 2, 1790. Son, Andrew married 2nd Elizabeth Kimball of Anson County, North Carolina, November 24, 1795. Daughter, Pollie married Thomas Stokes of Lunenberg, February 22, 1797. Son, Zackfield married Polly Johnston of Campbell County, August 15, 1799. Daughter, Oreander married Richard Jones of Halifax county, October 15, 1806. Son, Henry married Polly Stone of Halifax county, March 27, 1806. Son, Henry married 2nd Polly Waln, January 23, 1810. Daughter, Sarah married Matthew Hobson of Halifax county, December 24, 1811. Son, John married Elizabeth Hobson of Halifax county, December 24, 1812. The father of Henry Wade who owned this Bible was born in New Kent County in 1690 and married Judith Via. He had three sisters; Margaret, Mary and Sarah, and one brother Anthony. He was son of James Wade of New Kent County. The mother of Elizabeth Hobson was Elizabeth Mosby, a descendant of Bartholomew Trurhart, who came from England with his son Daniel, and settled near Meadow Bridge in Hanover County. Daniel Truehart married Mary Garland. His daughter, Susannah, married General Wade Mosby, Jr., a son of Littleberry Mosby and wife, Elizabeth Netherland.
