In March 1808, Ephraim Bondurant, David Bondurant, Jeremiah Lockett, and David Lockett filed a bond of injunction against Joseph Taylor in Bedford County Chancery Court. This indicates that Ephraim was born prior to March 1787, and probably earlier.

Richard did not leave a will. In October 1805 his children got together to sell his land:

"This indenture made this third day of October, one thousand eight hundred and five - Witnesseth: That whereas Richard Lockett departed this life in March 1795 intestate but possessed of a certain tract of land lying in said county containing by estimation 170 acres, and also leaving children to wit: Mable Elam who is intermarried with Burral Elam but formerly was Mable Lockett, David Lockett, Edmund Lockett, Daniel Lockett, Jeremiah Lockett, Josiah Lockett, Rhoda Lockett, William Lockett, Jesse Lockett and Arch. Lockett who are all heirs and representatives of the said Richard Lockett and who are entitled to equal shares....."

It is signed by all the children.

"In the name of God Amen, I Mary Lockett being in a low state of health but of sound mind. I do hereby make my last will and testament for first give my soul to God that gave it and my body top return to the dust from whence it was taken till the Resurrection of the same hoping He will receive the same. Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Rhoda Lockett and her heirs one sorrel mare colt called Flie also one bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my grandson Richard Lockett the first colt that is raised from the colt that I gave his Aunt Rhoda and I hereby do appoint Jeremiah Lockett and Rhoda Lockett my executors to this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this 17th day of April one thousand eight hundred and four." "At a Court held for Bedford County Courthouse the 22 day of July 1805.
This last Will and Testament of Mary Lockett Dec'd was probated in Court by Jeremiah Lockett the Executor there named & proved by the oaths of Nancy Lockett a subscribing wittness, and at a Court [....?.....] for said County this 23rd day of September 1805. This Will was further proved by the oath of Benjamin Kennedy an other subscribing witness & ordered to be recorded and on the Motion of Jeremiah Lockett the Ex'or who made oath, together with Thomas Logwood his Security entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the Sum of One Hundred & fifty Dollars [and obtained ?] according to Law, certifies is granted him for obtaining a motion thereof in due form, Liberty being reserved the other Executor to join in the probate when she may think fits."
