"We ,the undersigned,Commissioners Appointed by the Hon. Taylor County Court,at the February term,1852 to lay off,set apart and allotted unto Mary Farmer her right of Dower in estate of her Dec'd Husband,James Farmer,met upon the premises on the 21st day of April.1853 and procededto perform the duties required and assigned us to do in said order,first being duly sworn.We find the tract to contain one hundred and twenty acres upon which James Farmer had lived and died,out of which we allotted the widow,Mary Farmer,forty five acres in the Southwestern corner of said tract,and bonded as follows,viz
Beginning at a poplar in J.W.Golvin's line,thence with a line of Daniel Hubbard S.82,w 106 poles to a stake in said line corner to Samuel Farmer ,thence with his line,N 7,W corner,thence N 69 1-2,W 76 poles to 5 poles to a large Black Oak ,his a stake in Colvins line,thence with the same,S 16, W 90 poles to the beginning.Which,we think is equal to one-third of said land in value and quantity as well as quality.All of which we respectfully report to the Hon. Taylor County Court.Given under our hands,the day above written,

A following certificate:At a County Court,commenced and held for Taylor county,in the town of Campbellsville,on the 9th day of May,1853,the foregoing report of the allotment of Dower to Mary Farmer, was presented into open court,the same being examined by the court,was confind and ordered to record.Wereupon,the same,and this Certificate are duly recorded in my office.Given under my hand this June 9,1853.
