  The Quisling Ancestry, read at the meeting of Telelaget at Lake Hills, Iowa, June 24-25, 1938 When Moland grew old and was provost, there was more to do than he could take care of, and he got an assistant. His name was Abraham Quisling. His father's name was Lauritz or Lars Ibsen Quisling. He was born in Sjaalland, Denmark, in 1635, studied for the ministry, got a call to Norway, and stayed there the remainder of his life. He was considered a learned man in his time. He died in the year 1700 at 65 years old. He had three sons and four daughters. All of the daughters married preachers, and two of his sons became preachers. His son Abraham was born in Oslo (Christiania) in the year 1658. As already mentioned he became assistant to Jakob Morland and in due course of time married Susanna Vibikke (Vivikke), Jakob Morland's daughter.
